Golden Boys return to line up
Golden Boys return to line up.
Our Golden boys will return to the line up tonight. The Kelowna Rockets full squad is now back and ready to face the second half of the season. Tonight will be the first game for Josh Morrissey who was acquired with Gage Quinney the night before Team Canada selection camp December 10. Madison Bowey had a strong showing with Team Canada at the World Junior Championships in Montreal and Toronto, with three goals and three assists in his first showing at the IIHF World Junior Championships. Morrissey joins the Rockets after playing 27 games with the Prince Albert Raiders notching 21 points. Also making their Rockets debut this evening is newly acquired Chance Braid who the Rockets picked up yesterday morning from the Prince George Cougars. Braid has played with the Courgars since 2011, playing a total of 236 games with 70 points, Braid is a physical asset to Rockets. Tonights game should be very exciting as Leon Draisaitl has told the media multiple times how he is looking forward to getting his best friend (Josh Morrissey)back on the same team. Draisaitl had a very strong debut on Wednesday night against the Vancouver Giants. “ I certainly didn't play that well, it’s not easy, it’s my first game and I don’t know anyone here, and the chemistry isn’t that strong yet, I will be better for sure.” f thats the case things can only go up from here for this Rockets team. Draisaitl also had the Rockets lone goal last night in Kamloops to send the game into overtime, which ended in a win in the shoot out for the Rockets.
